Chakra Theertham – Tirumala

Chakra Theertham, situated near Silathornam at a mere distance of 2 km from the main temple, holds a venerable place among the sacred water bodies of Tirumala. Legend intertwines with geography here, enriching the spiritual significance of this Theertham.

According to tradition, the illustrious Lord Brahma, the creator deity in Hindu cosmology, sought solace and engaged in rigorous penance at this very site. As a testament to the sanctity of his prayers and the divine intervention, Lord Vishnu, the preserver, is said to have purified the area by submerging his divine weapon, the Sudarshan Chakra, in the waters of Chakra Theertham.

The Sudarshan Chakra, symbolizing divine protection and cosmic order, thus sanctified the Theertham, imbuing it with healing properties and the ability to absolve devotees of their sins. For pilgrims, a dip in these blessed waters is not merely a physical act but a spiritual journey towards purification and spiritual renewal.

Chakra Theertham stands as a beacon of divine grace, offering solace to devotees seeking redemption and healing. Its association with the sacred Sudarshan Chakra and the divine presence of Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu makes it a site of profound spiritual significance, inviting pilgrims to partake in its purifying waters and seek the blessings of the divine.
